"Devil Give Misdirection is about the inevitability of sexual irrelevance. It’s the story of an amorous narcissist. He’s a sexual predator who did it for prestige. Intimacy is something he assimilated while having no idea what it really means. Now he’s older and he fights his reality with memories of conquest. The end of the song is either an expression of crushing realisation or a memory of an orgasm. Take your pick.

The song has been around since we formed Wrongnote and it’s one that we always play live. I like the recording. The riff sounds filthy and menacing while the drums, bass and rhythm guitar bite away at it. Exactly the sort of cheap thrill we were looking for to be the second track on the album." - Callum Smith (Wrongnote)
